Purpose
Our Mission
TORRANCE GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE (TGSL) seeks to implant in the girls of the community ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence so they will grow to be good, clean, healthy adults. This objective will be reached by supervised, competitive, athletic games. The supervisors shall bear in mind at all times that the attainment of exceptional athletic skill or winning of games is secondary and that the molding of future citizens is of prime importance.
Bylaws
Torrance Girls Softball League has Bylaws in place in order to explicitly define our objectives, how officers are elected and appointed, general rules and regulations, fund control, duties of board members, etc.
Operating Rules and Guiding Principles
Torrance Girls Softball League operates under guiding principles that are driven by Code of Conduct rules as well as Social Media and Electronic policies to ensure the organization as a whole is able to run effectively and ensure a positive environment for all players and parents.
Torrance Girls Softball League also operates under a well-defined set of rules that help define how critical activities in the organization are executed, such as Registration, Player Evaluations, Player Drafts, Division and Playoff Game Rules, All Star Selection, etc.
Medical Consent
Torrance Girls Softball League requires all Managers to carry hard copies and/or have digital access to Parent/Guardian Medical Consent forms to all TGSL activities.
Concussions
Torrance Girls Softball League requires all Managers to receive Training in Concussions as per the USA Softball of Southern California Concussion Information Sheet.
Programs
TGSL provides various programs as options depending on the level of competition desired.
